My Approach

Hey there, and welcome!

If you're looking for a different kind of therapy—one that gets you outside, connects you with nature, and maybe even lets you hang out with some animals—you’re in the right place.

Therapy That Feels More Like Breathing Again

Healing doesn’t have to happen in a sterile office with four white walls. At Wolf & Willow Counseling, therapy is about connection—to yourself, to the earth, and to the things that make you feel whole. Whether we’re walking through the woods, digging our hands into the soil, or sitting with a gentle animal, our work together is grounded (literally) in what helps you feel safe, seen, and supported.

What Makes Us Different?

Nature-Based Therapy – Sometimes the best healing happens outside. We use the natural world as a co-therapist, whether it’s a walk in the woods, mindfulness by a stream, or grounding exercises surrounded by trees.

Animal-Assisted Therapy – Animals have a way of making things feel a little easier. Sessions may include spending time with therapy animals—gentle, intuitive beings who offer comfort and connection.

Therapeutic Horticulture – There’s something deeply healing about tending to plants and watching things grow. Gardening, working with the land, and engaging with nature in hands-on ways can be part of our sessions.

Rooted in Justice & Affirmation – This space is for everyone, especially those who have felt unseen in traditional therapy. Our work is trauma-informed, identity-affirming, and grounded in social justice.

Who We Work With

We welcome individuals, families, couples, and groups looking for a therapeutic experience that honors the whole person. Whether you’re navigating trauma, identity exploration, family dynamics, or just feeling stuck, we’re here to walk with you—sometimes literally—toward healing.

Ready to Start?

Therapy doesn’t have to feel like a chore. It can be an exhale, a moment of peace, a reconnection with something bigger than yourself. If you’re curious about what this could look like for you, reach out. Let’s find a path that feels right.

Kids and Teens

At our practice, we provide mental health care for children, teens, adults, and families, with a focus on supporting non-traditional and marginalized families. Our team offers care that is culturally responsive, identity-affirming, trauma-informed, and creative, honoring each person as the expert of their own experience and walking alongside them on their healing journey.

We have extensive experience supporting individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, OCD, self-harm, and trauma related to intimate partner violence, immigration, religious experiences, racial and ethnic identity, and intergenerational dynamics.

For children and teens, we assist with emotional regulation and provide tools for managing ADHD, anxiety, and depression. Our approach blends traditional and alternative therapies, including play therapy, Dungeons & Dragons, nature- and animal-assisted therapy, and expressive arts such as music, writing, and crafts.
